From April 16 to 17, delegation led by Di Shengkui , Secretary of the Party Committee of Lanzhou Jiaotong University visited Uzbekistan.

On April 16, the delegation visited Tashkent State Transport University and attended  the 4th International Science and Technology Conference jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Transport University. Di Shengkui delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony, emphasizing that this international academic conference has built an important platform for experts, universities, and scientific research institutions in the field of global transportation. It is hoped that through in-depth exchanges, transportation technology will be propelled to new heights.

After the conference, Di Shengkui met with Abdulaziz Gulamov, executive president of Tashkent State Transport University. Abdulaziz Gulamov welcomed the arrival of Di Shengkui and his delegation, and introduced the advantages and characteristics of Tashkent State Transport University in railway professional education and the current situation of Uzbekistan's railway transportation industry. The two sides discussed over joint training of talents and collaborative innovation of scientific research around the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. Both sides agreed to cooperate in traffic engineering and other professional fields, and signed a memorandum of understanding.

On April 17, the delegation visited Tashkent State Technical University. They visited the university's laboratories, research centers and other teaching and research facilities, and gained an in-depth understanding of the university's advantageous achievements in the field of engineering and technology.

Di Shengkui said that Lanzhou Jiaotong University has always been committed to promoting the progress of rail transit technology and industrial development, and attaches great importance to talent training and international cooperation. Uzbekistan, as an important country along the "Belt and Road", will play a key role in the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. In the future, the two universities will cooperate on railroad construction technology, structure optimization, intelligent railroad operation and maintenance and other core technical problems, and jointly carry out the transformation and application of scientific research results in the construction of China-Japan-Uzbekistan Railway.

This visit is an important step in the cooperation between Lanzhou Jiaotong University and high education institutions in Uzbekistan in the field of rail transit. In the future, all parties will fully leverage their respective advantages and contribute together to the development of rail transit industries in China and Uzbekistan.

Representatives from Science and Technology Division, Center of International Exchanges, School f Automation and Electrical Engineering, and School of Mechanical Engineering also joined the visit.
