On the afternoon of May 20, Lanzhou Jiaotong University and Tashkent State Transport University held an online meeting. Vice President Huo Haifeng attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Abdulaziz Gulamov, and Bakhtiyr Turaev, Vice presidents of Tashkent State Transport University, attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the head of Center of International Exchange.

Huo Haifeng said that Lanzhou Jiaotong University, as the third railroad university in China, has always been expanding international exchanges and cooperation, and striving to build a broad international platform for students and teachers. He said that Lanzhou Jiaotong University attaches great importance to the cooperation with Tashkent State Transport University and hoped that the two universities would give full play to their respective advantages, carry out fruitful cooperation in talent cultivation, academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and teachers' training, etc., so as to promote the common development of the two universities, and make greater contributions to the development of educational undertakings and transportation in China and Uzbekistan.

Representatives from School of Mechanical Engineering introduced the subject construction and specialty setting of the Manufacturing Department and the Vehicle Department, and demonstrated the breakthrough achievements in the field of rail transportation in recent years. Prof. Rakhmonov, head of Department of Vehicles and Vehicle Facilities of Tashkent State Transport University, introduced the construction of specialties and disciplines of his department.
The two sides started a detailed discussion on joint training of talents, scientific research, collaborative innovation, and academic exchanges.

The holding of this online meeting aims to further integrate the quality resources of the two sides, and promote the in-depth cooperation and innovative development in education.
Representatives from School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, and the School of Traffic and Transportation also attended the meeting.
