On November 19, Usenov Keneshbek Zhumabekovich, Rector of Jalal-Abad State University in Kyrgyzstan (JASU), visited our university. Executive Vice President Nie Lei warmly received the distinguished guests. The meeting and exchange activities were attended by responsible persons and representatives from relevant departments, including the Center of International Exchanges and the School of Civil Engineering.
On behalf of our university, Nie Lei extended a warm welcome to Rector Usenov Keneshbek Zhumabekovich and his delegation. He provided an overview of our university's distinctive characteristics in education, talent cultivation, disciplinary development, and internationalization. Nie Lei stated that the accelerated advancement of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway project presents a significant opportunity for both universities to expand cooperation. He expressed the hope to diversify the forms and broaden the scope of collaboration to jointly cultivate more high-quality professionals who can meet the economic and social development needs of both China and Kyrgyzstan.

Rector Usenov Keneshbek Zhumabekovich expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of our university's achievements in education. He provided a detailed introduction to JASU's general information, its strengths in specific disciplines, and its current status of international cooperation. He conveyed a strong desire to deepen the collaborative relationship with our university, hoping that the two institutions can work together to contribute to the construction and operation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway.
During the talks, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including student exchanges, faculty visits, and scientific research cooperation in railway engineering and related fields, reaching broad consensus. Following the meeting, witnessed by attendees from both sides, Nie Lei and Usenov Keneshbek Zhumabekovich signed a cooperation agreement, marking the entry of the friendly relationship and cooperation between the two universities into a new stage.

After the meeting, accompanied by the head of the Center of International Exchanges, Rector Usenov Keneshbek Zhumabekovich and his delegation visited the laboratories of the School of Civil Engineering and the School of Traffic and Transportation, gaining a firsthand understanding of our university's educational features and developmental achievements.
The successful visit of the JASU delegation has laid a solid foundation for the future in-depth cooperation between the two universities. It holds significant importance for enhancing the internationalization of our university and promoting educational cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative.
