A delegation from Mongolian Railway State-Owned Joint-Stock Company visited Lanzhou Jiaotong University (LZJTU) on March 5 for talks on strengthening university-enterprise cooperation and joint talent cultivation in the railway sector. The delegation met with heads of the Office of International Exchanges and the School of International Education.

During the meeting, LZJTU representatives introduced the university’s history, its strengths in rail transit education, and its role in training international talents for countries along the Belt and Road. Ms. Oyuntugs, Head of the Human Resources and Training Department of the Mongolian Railway Company, outlined the company’s current operations and future development plans, highlighting the need for both short-term skills training and long-term academic programs for its employees.

The two sides reached preliminary consensus on exploring “tailored” talent training programs and jointly establishing internship bases.
Following the talks, the delegation visited several university research and teaching centers, including the Gansu Provincial Rail Transit Research Center, the Urban Integrated Transport Control Research Platform, and the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center for Rail Transit Information and Control.
The visit laid a solid foundation for further China-Mongolia cooperation in railway education and the cultivation of international railway professionals.
