University Leaders Extend Spring Festival Greetings to International Students

On the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, February 17, Wang Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Lanzhou Jiaotong University Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, accompanied by representatives from the Discipline Inspection Office, the University Administrative Office, and the School of International Education, visited international students staying on campus during the winter vacation.

During the visit, Wang Jun and the team had cordial conversations with the students, inquiring about their daily life, study arrangements, and any specific needs during the holiday period. Wang expressed appreciation for the students' cooperation with the university’s holiday safety management and encouraged them to remain mindful of safety regulations, including dormitory rules and personal security. She also encouraged students to take advantage of the holiday to explore Chinese culture and experience traditional Spring Festival customs.

The international students expressed their gratitude for the university’s care and attention. Despite being far from home, they said they felt the warmth of the festive season and the welcoming atmosphere of Lanzhou Jiaotong University. Many shared their aspirations to serve as cultural bridges between their home countries and China.

The visit reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to ensuring student safety and promoting cross-cultural understanding during the holiday season. The School of International Education will continue to enhance support services and management to ensure a safe and pleasant stay for all international students throughout the Spring Festival.
