On April 14, 2024, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lanzhou Jiaotong University Di Shengkui visited Cambridge University. At Cambridge University, Di Shengkui visited engineering department, teaching research center and laboratory of Churchill College to learn about its experience on talent cultivation, academic research and lab management.

Di Shengkui introduced the talents introduction policy of Lanzhou Jiaotong University and had friendly and in-depth exchanges with professors and young scholars from Cambridge University, York University, Manchester University, Exeter University, and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He said that Lanzhou Jiaotong University, a railway transportation school with distinctive features is committed to cultivating talents for railways along “the Belt and Road Initiative”. It was his hope that Lanzhou Jiaotong University could work together with Cambridge University to promote communication, enhance cooperation between two universities.

During his visit to Cardiff University, he met with professors of engineering school and discussed on how to promote joint talent training projects, jointly build laboratories, and hold international academic conferences together. Academic Cooperation Agreement Between Cardiff University and Lanzhou Jiaotong University was signed.

Zhang Guojin , director of Lanzhou Jiaotong University International Exchange Center and Professor Alan Kwan of Cardiff University's School of Engineering signed an agreement on major infrastructure science and technology research.

At Université de Franche-Comté, Di Shengkui had in-depth exchanges with relevant personnel of the Language Center over topics like language teaching and teacher training between the two universities. Di Shengkui also met with Lanzhou Jiaotong University students who were on exchange program studying French at Université de Franche-Comté, encouraging them to continue working hard and contribute to friendly exchanges between China and France.

The visit will further promote cooperation between Lanzhou Jiaotong University and these three universities in academic exchanges and talent cultivation fields.
