From November 20 to 30, 2024, Vice President Su Cheng led a delegation to Colombia, Brazil and Peru for China Higher Education Exhibition 2024 organized by China Scholarship Council.

Twenty-three Chinese universities including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Beihang University, Tongji University participated in the exhibition. Exhibitions were held in Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro of Brazil and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú respectively.

Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech education exhibition in Brazil. He proposed that both sides would work together to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between universities in China and Brazil, promote international academic research collaboration and students and faculty exchange, and improve the quality of talent cultivation and scientific innovation through mutual learning.

Lanzhou Jiaotong University made full use of the exhibition as an opportunity to display and introduce discipline characteristics, international student enrollment overview, etc. to various sectors in Colombia, Brazil and Peru, especially to educational institutions and university students and teachers, so as to expand exchanges and cooperation with South American countries, further broaden channels for overseas exchange, and attract foreign students from all over the world to study in Lanzhou Jiaotong University. During the exhibition, the delegation introduced application procedures, entry requirements and various scholarship programs to those who were interested in studying in Lanzhou Jiaotong University.

Su Cheng also visited Colombia's Ministry of Education, Rio de Janeiro Federal University, Rio de Janeiro Catholic University and Peru Catholic University. He had in-depth exchanges with the president of Rio de Janeiro Catholic University and the acting president of Peru Catholic University. He introduced in detail about the history, discipline construction, talent cultivation, international exchanges and cooperation of Lanzhou Jiaotong University., hoping to cooperate in the fields of talent cultivation, scientific innovation, student-teacher exchange and other aspects.

China Higher Education Exhibition aims to introduce and display the advantages in disciplines, international cooperation as well as study abroad programs of Chinese universities to foreign students. It has attracted attention from many local young people and educational institutions.
