On May 25, 40,000 runners took part in Lanzhou Marathon, which was held along the Yellow River Scenic Line, with a difference in elevation of more than 150 meters. Members of the athletic team and faculty members of LZJTU participated in the race collectively, demonstrating the concept of “integration of sports and education”.

Alumnus He Fujun and graduate student Pan Jianglong won the eighth and ninth places in the domestic men's race, while five others entered the top fifty and fifteen reached the top hundred. The faculty and staff also actively participated in the full and half marathon.
