On June 7, the campus final of China International College Students' Innovation Competition（CICSIC）2025 was held in LZJTU. Vice president Chen Xichun attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhang Sixue, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of Labor Union of Northwest Branch of China Railway Construction Engineering Group, more than 20 experts from inside and outside Gansu province, and more than 300 representatives of participating teams and instructors attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by representative of Innovation and Entrepreneurship College.

Chen Xichun firstly expressed his heartfelt thanks to the experts from inside and outside the province who participated in the evaluation of the project, and to the sponsoring unit of the competition, China Railway Construction Engineering Group. He pointed out that in October last year, General Secretary Xi Jinping wrote in his letter to the representatives of students participating in China International College Students' Innovation Competition（CICSIC） that innovation is the source of human progress, and young people are an important force for innovation. We hope that students will carry forward the spirit of science, engage in science and technology innovation, and contribute to the promotion of Sino-foreign scientific and technological exchanges and scientific and technological progress. LZJTU will continue to explore new modes of innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher education, empower the quality improvement of talent cultivation, cultivate high-quality talents with innovation ability, entrepreneurial spirit, and creativity, promote the development of new-quality productive forces, and make positive contributions to national construction and economic development.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Sixue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of the Northwest Branch of China Railway Construction Engineering Group, Yang Xiaoping, representative of evaluation experts， Executive Vice Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Gansu Agricultural University, and Qi Tianyi, representative of the participating students, delivered speeches respectively.

LZJTU attaches great importance to the organization and development of the innovation competition. A total of 550 projects made into the campus competition Internet evaluation, and 189 projects made into the campus final. After the opening ceremony, 189 projects were divided into 6 venues for on-site roadshow and defense, and experts from inside and outside the province reviewed the projects on the roadshow. LZJTU will continue to polish and cultivate the selected key projects and prepare for the provincial and national competitions.

China International College Students' Innovation Competition（CICSIC） is a national top discipline competition jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and relevant ministries and commissions. The competition is an important carrier and key platform for the national deepening reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and is the most influential innovation and entrepreneurship event among colleges and universities.
