Zhang Guojin, Dean of School of International Education and Director of Center of International Exchange of Lanzhou Jiaotong University, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Zhang Guojin said that as the third railroad undergraduate university in China, Lanzhou Jiaotong University has always adhered to the concept of open education, and has cultivated more than 2,500 international students from 65 countries, forming an internationalized cultivation system featuring engineering and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. She pointed out that the exhibition aimed at integrating the high-quality educational resources of universities in Gansu, and creating the characteristic brand of “Stay in China, Study in Gansu”.

At the exhibition site, universities introduced the advantages of disciplines, international student training system and scholarship policies through graphic display boards, brochures and one-on-one consultation. Northwest Normal University highlighted the traditional advantageous disciplines of literature, history and philosophy. Northwest Minzu University demonstrated the characteristics of multi-ethnic culture integration, and Lanzhou Vocational Technical College emphasized the advantages of industry-teaching integration in the field of vocational education. Students had in-depth exchanges with the admission officers of the universities on hot issues such as curriculum, campus life and visa policies.

This is the first time for universities in Gansu to focus on recruiting international students in the form of a joint exhibition. The event not only provides diversified opportunities for international students to further their studies, but also builds a new platform for exchange and cooperation between universities inside and outside Gansu province.
