On the morning of June 18, LZJTU held a grand graduation ceremony and degree conferral ceremony for the class of 2025 at the North Campus Gymnasium. The ceremony was live-streamed via the official video channel of LZJTU, allowing graduates who were not physically present on campus and their family members to attend online.

Leaders of the University attended the ceremony. Representatives from relevant departments and colleges, faculty representatives, corporate scholarship representatives, parents and relatives, and representatives from the Class of 2025 gathered together to witness this significant moment. Graduation & Degree Conferral Ceremony were hosted by Vice President Su Cheng.

The ceremony officially commenced with the solemn national anthem.

Secretary of the CPC LZJTU Committee Di Shengkui delivered a speech. On behalf of LZJTU, he extended his warmest congratulations to all graduates who had successfully completed their studies and were about to embark on a new journey, and expressed his highest respect and sincere gratitude to the teachers who had diligently nurtured the students and the parents who had quietly supported them. Di Shengkui fondly recalled the unforgettable years the Class of 2025 had spent growing alongside LZJTU. He pointed out that the students have advanced with the times and grown with LZJTU. During their time at the university, they have witnessed and benefited from the university's high-quality development, and they have also been important contributors and promoters of the university's development. He fully affirmed the outstanding achievements of the students in their academic studies, scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship, social practice, and volunteer services, and he was pleased and proud of their courage in the face of adversity, their dedication to learning, and their determination to serve the country.

Facing the students about to embark on their journey, Di Shengkui put forward three expectations. First, he hopes that everyone will keep the nation in their hearts, cultivate a broad perspective, and become dreamers who are determined to move forward. He urged the students to remain steadfast in their ideals and beliefs, keep the “greater good of the nation” in mind, integrate their personal “small goals” into the “grand blueprint” of China's modernization, take promoting national development as their motivation for learning, and make striving for the happiness of the people and the rejuvenation of the nation their lifelong pursuit. Second, he hopes that everyone will keep pace with the times, broaden their horizons, and become strivers who make the most of their youth. He called on the students to consciously align their strides with the pulse of national development, continuously accumulate learning experiences, and enhance their capabilities, striving to become capable newcomers of the era. Third, he hopes that everyone will stick to lifelong learning, integrate knowledge and action, becoming practical individuals who achieve their goals through action. He urged the students to embrace the concept of lifelong learning, applying knowledge to practice, and integrating learning with application.

Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Academic Degrees Evaluation Committee Nie Lei, announced the decisions to confer doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees and addressed to the graduates. Nie Lei pointed out that graduation is not the end but the beginning of another journey. She was heartened to see that some of the Class of 2025 graduates have chosen to dedicate themselves to the main battlefields of national rail transit and infrastructure construction, contributing to building China into a nation with strong transportation network; some have chosen to continue their studies and climb the peaks of academic achievement; and others have chosen to settle in the western regions and serve at the grassroots units. She expressed her heartfelt hopes s to the graduates, urging them to firmly establish the foundation of their personal development on professional knowledge, deeply embed their sincere dedication to serving society into their grassroots positions.

Deputy Secretary of the CPC LZJTU Committee Wang Aiping announced the decision to commend outstanding graduates, and university leaders presented honorary certificates to representatives of outstanding graduates.

Representatives of graduates recalled their time at LZJTU, expressed their endless gratitude to their alma mater, teachers, and classmates, shared their growth insights from LZJTU, and pledged to remember their teachers' teachings, uphold the spirit of LZJTU, and strive to become “LZJTU alumni” who make their alma mater proud. They called on all graduates to bravely shoulder the responsibilities bestowed upon them by the times and contribute their youthful energy to the realization of the Chinese Dream and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Professor Dong Haiying, a doctoral supervisor from the School of New Energy and Power Engineering and a faculty representative, advised all graduates to adapt to the changes of the times, maintain a positive and optimistic mindset, maintain a vigilant attitude toward lifelong learning, and embrace the courage to face failure, stay true to their original aspirations and dreams, and use their knowledge, abilities, wisdom, and warmth to serve society and illuminate the path forward for more people.

Professor Gao Guandao, a doctoral supervisor at Nanjing University and an alumnus who studied in LZJTU 30 years ago, shared his personal growth experiences with everyone, from facing life choices to transforming and innovating while staying true to oneself. He urged all 2025 graduates to have both the boldness and the composure to create the future without dwelling on the past or neglecting the present.

At the Degree Conferral Ceremony, graduates dressed in academic robes walked up to the podium one by one. Professor Nie Lei adjusted the tassels of the graduates receiving doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees and conferred the degrees.

Every step of progress and growth made by the graduates would not have been possible without the companionship and support of LZJTU faculty and staff. The graduates expressed their gratitude from the bottom of their hearts. Graduates bowed and presented flowers to representatives of parents, teachers, teaching assistants, corporate scholarships, and various service and support departments, thanking them for their dedicated commitment and hard work.
