On the morning of August 26, Professor Andrea D’Ariano from Roma Tre in Italy visited Lanzhou Jiaotong University. Executive Vice President Nie Lei met with the delegation. Representatives from Center of International Exchanges, Division of Science & Technology, Division of Academic Affairs, Division of Discipline Planning and Development, Admissions and Career Services Office and School of Traffic and Transportation attended the meeting for discussions.

Nie Lei welcomed Professor Andrea on his second visit and provided an overview of LZJTU’s progress in curriculum development, talent cultivation, and international research collaboration. She hoped that Andrea’s visit would serve as a catalyst to foster research partnerships and faculty-student exchanges between the two universities. Both sides also discussed the possibility of jointly applying Chinese-foreign cooperatively educational projects in the field of Traffic and Transportation.

Professor Andrea expressed his gratitude for our university's kind invitation and warm hospitality, and then outlined the main objectives of his visit. He engaged in a detailed discussion with attendees regarding the key challenges and critical issues involved in jointly applying Chinese-foreign cooperatively educational projects. He also emphasized his hope that the two universities will strengthen their mutual exchanges and work together to further deepen future cooperation.

After the meeting, Professor Andrea delivered a lecture titled " A Bilevel Rescheduling Framework for Optimal Inter-Area Train Coordination," followed by an in-depth discussion with faculty and students from School of Traffic and Transportation.
