Two professors from the School of Traffic and Transportation at Lanzhou Jiaotong University (LZJTU), Mu Haibo and Jia Xiaoyan, recently paid a working visit to Tashkent State Transport University (TSTU) in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the professors held talks with heads of the International Office, and the departments of Logistics Management, Railway Transport, and Economic Management at TSTU. Discussions focused on discipline development, joint talent cultivation, and research collaboration. The two universities reached broad consensus on sharing curriculum resources, facilitating faculty and student exchanges, and engaging in joint research and development in the field of transportation. In light of Central Asia’s transportation development needs, the two sides also explored potential research areas such as railway transport and cross-border logistics.

The visit laid the groundwork for future institutional cooperation and represents a concrete step by LZJTU to advance the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen academic ties with universities in Central Asia.
