From January 18 to 24, 24 students from Lanzhou Jiaotong University participated in a week-long study tour in Singapore, themed “Artificial Intelligence and Cultivating Versatile International Talents.” The program included university visits, academic lectures, and cultural activities.

The delegation visited Nanyang Technological University, the National University of Singapore, and Republic Polytechnic, where they attended lectures on AI and digital finance, and learned about Singapore’s educational models. At NUS, two Chinese PhD students guided the group and shared insights on studying abroad.

Students also conducted field studies at the Singapore Sustainability Gallery and Gardens by the Bay, learning about ecological conservation and sustainable development. Cultural visits to Merlion Park and the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre offered exposure to the country’s multicultural environment.

Through exchanges with Chinese students studying in Singapore, participants gained practical information on graduate applications and academic planning. The tour reflects the university’s ongoing efforts to broaden students’ global perspectives and enhance their intercultural competencies through international engagement.
