On August 4, the opening ceremony of the 2026 “Encounter China · Silk Road Journey” International Summer School and Spanish Youth Summer Academic and Cultural Camp was held at Lanzhou Jiaotong University (LZJTU). The event was attended by Wang Wenbin, Second-level Inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of Gansu Provincial Government; Wang Qi, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Gansu Provincial Department of Education; and Nie Lei, Executive Deputy President of LZJTU. The ceremony was hosted by Zhang Xiyin, Dean of the School of International Education.

This program is LZJTU’s first short-term study program funded by the China Scholarship Council and designed for the University of Seville, Spain. It combines academic seminars, field research, and intangible cultural heritage experiences, with participants visiting various sites across Gansu Province.
